01 / About the project

From brief to final frame.

The brief

Oil on skin is not a pretty subject. Treated as a villain with a face, it becomes a story: pores are craters, Oily is a golden droplet that loves a party, and Pixie is the serum who ends it. The tone is feature-film animation, not explainer motion graphics.

How it was made

Both characters live on reference sheets (eight expressions each). Every frame node receives the sheet as a reference, and the prompt ends with "Same Pixie and Oily as references". The final scene morphs the 3D Pixie into the real product packshot so the audience leaves with the real label in mind.

The result

A 27-second short with consistent characters from start to finish, landing exactly on the real product.

+ / Script

Every second has a job.

  1. 0-3 sHook

Oily slides into a pore like a waterslide. "Wheeeee!" (alt hooks: a NOW HIRING: MORE OIL sign, Pixie speaking to camera)

  2. 3-8 sProblem

Wide crane over the T-zone party. Droplets dance, the surface shines.

  3. 8-14 sSolution

Pixie parachutes in, squeezes her dropper. "Niacinamide. Zinc. Party's over."

  4. 14-20 sProof

Time-lapse feel: craters shrink, shine fades, droplets flee.

  5. 20-27 sCTA

Pixie winks, morphs into the real bottle on pastel. Narrator closes.

+ / Decisions

What made it work.

  1. Terrain stays static, only characters move. The prompt says so in plain words, which cut the usual landscape warping.
  2. Pixie's face lives on the label. "Eyes and mouth animate on the label, bottle shape stays identical" keeps the product silhouette intact while she acts.
  3. Scene 5 uses a last-frame connection from the real packshot, so the morph lands on the actual product.
  4. Squash and stretch is requested in every clip prompt. Without it, H3 drifts toward realistic physics.
